It finally snowed a little bit this morning again. After getting a little snow on the ground Christmas day, the little extra that fell this morning gave us more to play in. Noah has been begging to go out and play in the snow so we finally bundled up the kids and turned 'em loose. Noah had a blast running and jumping in the snow.

Madison on the other hand was very interested in the snow, but it took a little bit to coax her into it. They both enjoyed running and jumping in the little snow piles.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Santa visited our house this morning and the kids were very excited to see what he brought!

Noah looking at all of the stuff sitting under the tree. We actually had to tell him to finish going down the stairs as he was in awe of everything!

Noah finding that Santa brought him a couple of Thomas trains he asked for.

Noah on his new spiderman bike.

Noah helping Madison find the gifts that Santa brought.

Madison's new pack'n play for her dolls. She actually likes to sit in it more than she likes to put her babies in it!

Her favorite toy of all...Santa brought her a new table and chairs that has a dry erase top. She has been sitting at this table all day and has been having a lot of fun drawing with the markers. She did manage to get marker all over her clothes and face!

We weren't able to drive back today because of the weather. We are hoping to start back tomorrow, but if the roads don't improve, we might see everyone over the new year. Guess we'll see what happens. We did have a white Christmas...about an inch of snow fell today. Merry Christmas from St. Louis!

Santa!

Madison was not a big fan of Santa! She was excited to get the gift at first, but then I put her on his lap and it was over!

Noah did great this year. He was very excited to go sit on his lap and get a gift.

We even had to tell him to get off. He was so excited to get the gift that he was trying to open it while he was on Santa's lap. I was very proud of him. I think he figured out that Santa wasn't so bad after all.

Pictures with the new camera!

Madison before bed.

Santa's little elf!

So we finally got our new camera in the mail and we are having a lot of fun taking pictures of the kids. What a difference in the picture quality! Wow! I am trying to be diligent and read the manual so that I know how to work the camera but even in full auto mode it takes awesome pictures!

October 2009

Noah running through a hay maze at a pumpkin patch we went to earlier this month.

Noah and Madie going through the milo maze...they loved it!

Some of the pumpkins were as big as Madison!

Noah was being a daredevil in the background! They had fun with all of the big pumpkins!

Isn't she cute!

My little Halloween giraffe! What a face!

Noah was a white ghost for his school Halloween parade!

This was Halloween night...pretty excited to get candy!

Noah decided to be Lighning McQueen on Halloween night.

One of the guys and his wife in the subdivision had a little cart of hay bales and took all of the kids trick or treating. This was one of the mom's explaining the rules...no pushing and no jumping off until it comes to a complete stop.

It didn't take Noah long to figure out that it was a race once everyone said "Go!" to go to the door to say "trick or treat" which was followed by a "thank you!" They both did well and had fun!

We had a great weekend of family fun. Friday, we took some of our family members to see the arch (and actually went up to the 630ft top), did a tour of busch stadium, and ate lunch at union station. Saturday, we celebrated Madison's first birthday. She had so much fun!

However, in anticipation of the big event, she fell asleep just as her party was about to begin. What a precious sleeping angel!

She thought it was pretty great to have a crowd sing her Happy Birthday! She smiled the entire time we sang (which was great because she forgot about the candle on fire!).

More of her loving the crowd!

She was a little hesitant to dig in. Wasn't quite sure what she was getting herself into!

Hmmm! My hand seems to have gotten all messy!

Mmmm! This stuff is pretty good!

I love cake!

Now we're getting down and dirty!

Brother wanted to join in all of the fun!

The after math!

She also had a lot of fun playing with her birthday balloons!

Brother had to show her how to open the first gift.

She really enjoyed opening all of the bag gifts. A couple of times she almost was completly in the bag. Happy Birthday Madison. We love you!

Dancing and best friends

Last night was pretty cute! Noah got some Tupperware dishes out to play the "drums." Then Madison came around the corner to make a beat of her own and started dancing to the beat. We had our own little band. Oh, for those of you who I haven't talked to recently....Madison has been walking since Noah's birthday (which makes life so much more interesting). Her new trick is trying to run. Noah has been potty trained for about three weeks now. It is so nice to only have one child in diapers. I am glad I waited however, because the process was painless since he was ready. We really only had one bad day with accidents and did great from there on out. He even stays dry at night!

The kids have a new found interest in the dog lately...especially Madison. Cooper has been pretty mellow when it comes to them, however we have had quite a few chewed up toys lately. Oh well I guess.

Outside Fun!

The weather was finally warm enough again to go swimming. I have a couple of fishy kids!

Noah was a nice big brother and took his sister for a ride in his new jeep!

For various reasons, I haven't posted for a long time, but am going to start doing so now! It's a great motivation for me to take more pictures and keep in touch with the rest of the family. We have enjoyed the summer thus far and have managed to keep pretty busy as you can tell by no posts. We are hoping to go swimming a few more times yet this summer before it starts to get cool out. I know Mike is looking forward to a little Nebraska football. Go Huskers!

Kids think they're dogs?

I do have to admit that this blog thing is so much easier than emailing and kind of addicting too! After I posted the last post, I caught both of the kids in the kennel. I think they think they're dogs. Lately, I either find Madison in the dog kennel or in the dog bowls. If she sees the laundry room door open, she makes a b-line for it!
